FAQ

What are the essential tarps for protecting your home and garden throughout the seasons?

To keep your outdoor equipment in perfect condition all year round, we recommend four essentials:

  • The firewood cover: A cover that’s longer than it is wide to protect your firewood supply from rain while allowing air to circulate.
  • The garden furniture cover: Waterproof and UV-resistant, it prevents outdoor furniture from deteriorating due to frost and inclement weather.
  • Greenhouse cover: Whether transparent, reinforced, or lightweight, it promotes the growth of your vegetable crops by shielding them from the cold and inclement weather.
  • Privacy screens and shade sails: To enhance your patios and fences, shielding them from prying eyes and the summer sun.

How do you choose an effective firewood cover to keep your logs nice and dry?

A good wood cover should be 100% waterproof, UV-resistant, and sized to cover only the top of your stère of wood. To prevent the wood from rotting, the cover should not completely cover the sides, in order to allow for proper natural ventilation. Choose our HDPE or PVC covers, which feature grommets for easy attachment with bungee cords.

Why choose a transparent reinforced greenhouse cover instead of standard plastic sheeting?

Unlike simple plastic film, which offers only temporary protection, the transparent reinforced greenhouse tarp features a high-strength reinforcement grid. It provides the maximum light transmission required for photosynthesis while ensuring durability for several years against tears, frost, and storms.

What size tarp should you use to trim a hedge effectively?

To work comfortably without having to move the tarp with every cut of the hedge trimmer, choose a long, narrow tarp (such as the HQ250 1.5x6 m tarp) or a set of two HDPE tarps for added convenience. Place the tarp as close as possible to the base of the hedge. Once you’ve trimmed a section, simply slide the tarp along the hedge to continue your work with ease.

How should you properly maintain and store your garden tarp after the summer or winter season?

To extend the life of your garden tarps, clean them with lukewarm water and a soft sponge (avoid harsh detergents and high-pressure washers held too close to the tarp). Let the tarp dry completely before folding it to prevent mold from forming, then store it in a dry place away from direct sunlight until its next use.
